Life Lessons of a Military Wife (overseas in Europe!)

My goal here is to make your life easier, especially those who are in the unique situation of being a military spouse. Yes...I've been around...but in a good way...and hopefully can share those tips, tricks and shortcuts with you too. I've been on this military bus for over 40 years now. My goals in life are to have a well-run home, few money worries, well adjusted children, money socked away and whatever happiness I can scoop out of life.

After life as an Army brat, being in the Army myself and marrying a soldier, I can honestly say I have a bucket full of life lessons I can share to help you make your everyday life easier and enlightening. Don't waste your time making unnecessary mistakes and benefit from others who have come before you on your journey through life.

Pizza for everyone!

I want to thank whoever it was on Facebook's "SHAPE Families" who posted this.  To think that even here in Belgium we can order our pizza online...we are coming out of the Dark Ages, baby.  Even in my small town, there was one listing....wow!

Check it out here.

In the area where you live, is there also a database of more than one restaurant, where you can order take out or delivery?

I see in your twitter updates you did/doing a Bastogne commemorative walk. Did you do the one yesterday honoring the 82nd airborne? I was there. I was talking to someone who has been doing these for awhile, and says that next year will be the 30th anniversary of the 24km walk, and I think he said 8 veterans will be there. There was only one this year.

Naw, I couldn't get to that one...but did a 12 km volksmarch that was mostly uphill in the mud today...yuck! I see many of these units have commemorative walks...the one we are doing for 17th Airborne is actually the first one we've ever signed up for....awww...so I was worried about these veterans...they must be over 80 by now...thanks for sharing!
